Krystal Marie Dicks (formerly Cunningham) is a native of Rochester, NY and is a graduate of the School of the Arts. After attending Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA, Krystal relocated to Atlanta, GA and began an extensive career in office administration, beginning with the Georgian Club and the Philly Franchising Company of Atlanta, GA. In 2004, she co-founded Paisley Academy of Performing Arts along with her sister, Rev. Kisha R. Cunningham, Ph.D. and served as the Director of Operations and Artistic Director. Mrs. Dicks has studied dance at Joyce Winters School of Dance, School of the Arts, and with Garth Fagan School of Dance. She has directed and co-directed several productions, recitals and shows including, Deep River, The Wiz, Bridge Over Troubled Water, etc… for PAPA.

 

Since returning to Rochester, Krystal has held positions with Xerox Corporation, Rochester Midland Corporation and Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School. Currently, Krystal serves as the Office Administrator for the American Baptist Churches, USA Regional Office. She is very active in the community and volunteers with local churches, community centers and schools within the Rochester City School District, serving as a Dance Consultant and Instructor.

 

Krystal Dicks has served as the Youth Evangelism Purpose Leader at Turner Chapel AME Church, and as Children’s Bible Study co-teacher, Christian Youth Fellowship Activities Coordinator and Young Adult Council Member at New Bethel CME Church. In 2013, she accepted her call to ministry at Graves Memorial CME Church under the leadership of Rev. Marilyn R. Cunningham, and was given the charge of Local Preacher by Elder Frederick Belcher during the Quarterly Conference. She feels it an honor to utilize her many gifts to edify the church, work with young people and grow the Body of Christ. Krystal is married to Frederick Dicks and is the mother of twins, Kiera and Kieree.

 

THE CREW

Frederick Douglas Nicholson Dicks is a native of Rochester, NY and a 2001 graduate of Joseph C. Wilson Magnet High School. In 2005, he received his Bachelors of Science in History from The State University of New York at Geneseo. After graduation, Frederick felt his skills would be best utilized serving the community, so he dedicated the next eight years to working with various non-profit organizations developing curriculum and programming aimed at fostering healthy relationships and constructive behavior management skills with at-risk youth. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Caring and Sharing Junior Academy.

 

Min. Dicks heard the call to ministry at an early age, and after much prayer and listening to God’s voice he publically accepted the charge and in 2012 enrolled in the Master of Divinity program at the historic Colgate Rochester Crozer Divinity School.  He currently serves as the President of the Student Cabinet and as a member of the ATS Re-accreditation Sub-Committee. Min. Dicks is a licensed preacher at Graves Memorial CME Church. He actively serves on the Ministerial Staff as Director of the Board of Christian Education and Ministry to Men chairperson.
